Trivia[]
General[]
- Cool For The Summer is the first song by Demi Lovato in the main series.
- Including her appearances in Just Dance Kids, Just Dance Kids 2014, and Just Dance: Disney Party, it is her fourth song in the franchise.
- Cool For The Summer was revealed during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards after Demi’s performance of this song. This marks the third time the inclusion of a song in a Just Dance title is confirmed during the MTV Video Music Awards, after Bang Bang and Black Widow in 2014.
- "F**k" is censored.
- In the lyrics "'cause" (from "'Cause i'm your body type and "'cause you and I") appears as "cuz"[1]
Routine[]
- The coach’s outfit resembles the one worn by Demi Lovato in the music video for the song.
- The coach originally had a completely different outfit, as well as major differences in the background. The choreography was mostly the same as the final one, but with some moves being performed differently, especially during the intro and the first part of the bridge.
- The beta coach appears to have unedited facial features, likely implying the version was scrapped in early development.
- On the seventh generation console versions of Just Dance 2016, after playing Cool For The Summer and unlocking the respective avatar, the avatar’s collar is purple. However, when viewed in the avatar shop, the avatar’s collar is golden with some spikes, like in other versions of the game.
- In the Just Dance Unlimited preview, the background is less detailed during the chorus. When the chorus ends, the background is replaced by a black screen.[2]
