Graphics[]

  • In the Beta version of the game, the graphics looked different on all consoles.
  • In the song selection menu, the buttons leading to playlists and extras were absent, and the text "Songs" was displayed in the top middle corner, with a white silhouette of P1 of Hot Stuff on the left.[1]
  • By looking into the NTSC manual for Just Dance 3, it can be noticed that Lollipop and Think’s places in the menu were switched, meaning that they were originally in different places before the worldwide release.
  • In the E3 build of the game, Giddy on Up (Giddy on Out) (Hold My Hand) was displayed next to I Was Made For Lovin’ You, implying that unlockable routines were originally meant to be displayed along with the main ones.[1]
  • The transition leading to the coach selection screen was different, as menu icons scrolled down instead of zooming out.[2]
  • The following differences can be noticed in the early coach selection screen:
    • The background was in shades of blue with a diagonal purple-pink gradient on the bottom right corner.[3]
    • The Just Dance 2 beat pattern was played while viewing it.[4]
    • When selecting a coach, white particles would splash out.
  • The text "Back" was replaced with "Quit".
    • The loading animation had a different design and was placed on the bottom right corner rather than in the middle.
    • The Start button had white spinning rays around it.
  • On the Xbox 360 version, the players’ names were written in a different font and the motion cam had a white outline.
  • The banner that displays the song title and the artist’s name slid in with a different animation.
    • Additionally, the "Get ready..." text was in a bigger font and zoomed in before disappearing, and the song title and artist name were closer to each other.
  • In early builds, the pictogram bar was reused from Just Dance 2.
  • In some preview gameplays, the pictogram bar for the Xbox 360 version of the game had a different shape at the end.
  • Lyrics and pictograms were originally going to appear in the middle of the screen rather than to the left and right.
  • Duet pictograms were meant to slide from different sides, like in Just Dance 2, as proven by some promotional pictures.
  • The pictograms on Wii and PS3 were going to disappear with the same fading effect as in the Xbox 360 version.[5]

  • A trailer on Vimeo features a Beta pictogram containing the double-sided arrow seen in Just Dance 2.

Airplanes[]

  • Four unused Gold Moves can be found in the Just Dance Now files.
    • As of an unknown date, the pictogram sprite has been updated to remove the unused Gold Moves.
  • The routine was meant to be featured in the standard Korean Wii version of the game along with Marcia Baila and Satellite, but it was scrapped.[8]

Baby One More Time[]

  • In the outro, the coaches were originally going to land their jumps instead of freezing in midair.[9]
  • An unused pictogram can be found in the Just Dance Now files.
  • This song was supposed to have a solo routine, as evidenced by a coach for such routine appearing in some mashups (including the song itself’s), and her being used to represent the song in the Soundless Quiz (with a different color scheme than the one seen in the game). It is unknown whether she was intended for a classic routine or for an alternative.

Barbra Streisand[]

  • On the cover of the Best Buy Edition, there is a Beta picture of the dancer, with a different color scheme and longer hair.
    • On the NTSC cover, she has the same color scheme, too: her outfit is mostly in shades of purple and pink, and she wears a pair of green leggings.
      • This color scheme was later proved to be a test scheme.[citation needed]
  • Two beta pictograms can be found in the Just Dance Now files.

Beautiful Liar[]

Boogie Wonderland[]

    • A promotional image shows a different outline, more light blue on P1’s suit, and a pictogram that uses the beta color scheme.

Funplex (CSS Remix)[]

  • Funplex (CSS Remix) was intended to be DLC for the Wii but was not released for unknown reasons.

I’m So Excited[]

  • A beta version of the menu icon can be found in the game’s manual.
  • I’m So Excited has six Beta pictograms.
  • In a Beta screenshot, the triangles in the background are yellow-green instead of just yellow.
  • Based on a promotional picture, the pictograms were originally orange with red assets, and the coach's pink undershirt was supposed to be pointed towards a purple tone.

Jump in the Line[]

  • In the Xbox 360 DLC files, the song is listed as Shake Señora. Shake Señora is a 2011 song that heavily samples Jump in the Line. It was by Pitbull, featuring T-Pain and Sean Paul. Strangely, the credit for T-Pain is missing.[10]
  • A Beta pictogram for the Just Dance 3 version of the map can be found in the old Just Dance Now servers.

Jungle Drum[]

  • Jungle Drum by Emiliana Torrini was planned to appear in the game, but it was removed for unknown reasons.
    • A preview was found in the Wii Shop servers, implying that plans to release the map as DLC were considered.
    • The coach appears in several Puppet Master Modes in Just Dance 4.
      • The menu icon is also featured on the Just Dance 4 instruction manual in the DLCs section, replacing the one for Brand New Start.

Just Mario[]

  • Just Mario was originally planned to be on the main tracklist on the Wii, as the audio file can be found in the game's files.[11]

Kurio ko uddah le jana[]

  • The background of Kurio ko uddah le jana had a different appearance from the final version, as it was supposed to be more crooked. There is also a golden, semi-transparent blanket that is not seen in the final routine.
  • There are six unused pictograms in the Just Dance Now files.

Let’s Get It Started[]

  • An extraction of this unused Just Dance 2 routine was found in the files of Just Dance 3, meaning the song may have been meant to appear in the game, but it was yet again scrapped for unknown reasons.

This is Halloween []

  • In a Beta screenshot, the background shows four pumpkin plants on the sides, with hanging pumpkins. In the final version, they are replaced by dead branches.
  • In the Just Dance Now files, there is a placeholder pictogram that appears to be a white and gray rectangle with a red X.

Tightrope[]

  • A beta version of the menu icon can be found in the game’s manual.

    • The song was ultimately added to the main tracklist of Just Dance 4 with revamped graphics and slight changes in the choreography.

What You Waiting For?[]

  • As seen in an early preview gameplay, the choreography was significantly different in the choruses and the bridge, and the other parts were performed differently.

Unknown Dancers[]

  • A Duet featuring a male and a female coach is featured on the PAL version of the game's cover. The male is wearing a jacket with a button-up shirt and a bow tie, and the female is wearing an outfit that resembles Lady Gaga’s look in the music video for the song Poker Face. The female dancer also appears with blonde hair in some screenshots.
